COMMUNITY GRANTS
Our mission is to strengthen the Coachella Valley through investments in programs that align with our core pillars: Community, Education and Access to Hockey.
We invite qualified nonprofit organizations serving the Coachella Valley to submit funding requests during our open application periods:

Summer Cycle: August 1 – September 30 – Awarded in December

Winter Cycle: January 1 – February 28 – Awarded in May

All requests are reviewed following each submission period, with funding decisions communicated shortly thereafter.
Before You Begin
To ensure your request is directed appropriately, please review the following:

- Education – Education grant funding is only available to nonprofit organizations.
Schools may apply; however, any awarded funds will be coordinated through the school’s affiliated district foundation. - Access to Hockey – If you are a non-profit organization that supports access to hockey, you are welcome to apply.

Eligibility

- Applicants must be nonprofit organizations serving the Coachella Valley.
- Examples of Community-focused initiatives include (but are not limited to):
Inclusion & Belonging

- Programs supporting the LGBTQ+ community
- Cultural or identity-based organizations
- Initiatives that promote equity, inclusion, and connection

Basic Needs & Stability

- Food insecurity programs (food banks, meal distribution, school access)
- Housing or homelessness support
- Emergency assistance programs

Health & Well-Being

- Community-based physical or mental health services
- Preventative care and outreach
- Wellness programs for underserved populations

Support for Those Who Serve

- Programs benefiting first responders (fire, police, EMTs)
- Services supporting veterans and military families
- Mental health, transition, or family support initiatives

Animal Welfare

- Animal rescue, shelter, and adoption programs
- Services promoting responsible pet ownership
- Therapeutic or community-based animal programs

Community Engagement

- Events or programs that bring people together
- Volunteer-driven initiatives
- Neighborhood or regional improvement efforts

Funding is competitive and not all requests will be awarded.
What to Expect
-
- Applications are collected and reviewed after each deadline.
- Our Community Allocations Committee evaluates requests based on alignment, impact, and community benefit.
- Selected organizations will be asked to provide follow-up reporting on outcomes and impact in the form of a 1 minute video (preferred) or a short written impact report.
